Ipsy es una suscripción de $10/mes con envío gratis dentro de los EE. UU. Incluye cinco productos de belleza que se supone que coinciden con el cuestionario de belleza que tomas al registrarte. La primera bolsa se facturará tan pronto como te registres y brindes información de pago, si no estás en la lista de espera. En los próximos meses, se te facturará el primer día de cada mes (si eliges el plan mensual). En cuanto a las suscripciones anuales, te cobran el primer día de la suscripción de 12 meses. Para la suscripción anual, pagas $110 y recibes una bolsa gratis. Se supone que la bolsa debe llegar aproximadamente dos semanas después de la facturación. Ambas suscripciones se renuevan automáticamente y pueden cancelarse en cualquier momento. El envío para Canadá es de $4.95 y los impuestos son aplicados a Nueva York, California, Carolina del Norte y Texas.

Me inscribí para la suscripción mensual el 21 de mayo, me pusieron en la lista de espera, pero unas horas más tarde me sacaron de la lista de espera y me estaban cobrando la primera bolsa. El 11 de junio recibí un correo electrónico indicando que mi paquete había sido enviado y lo recibí por correo el 16 de junio. Cuando abrí el paquete, lo primero que vi fue la bolsa amarilla de 3 tonos y las dos máscaras faciales.

Estas mascarillas faciales de papel son de la marca the SAEM. Probé la acai berry y descubrí que tiene un fuerte olor. Se sentía refrescante en mi piel con una pequeña sensación de irritación/quemazón en el área de mi bigote. Cuando me quité la mascarilla, mi cara se sintió un poco caliente, pegajosa, y todavía podía percibir el aroma por un tiempo.

Dentro de la bolsa encontré un rubor de cosméticos OFRA, una sombra de ojos de beauté basics, una brocha de maquillaje Luxie y un delineador de ojos Jontéblu.

Vamos a hablar sobre el rubor primero. Según el sitio web de Ipsy, el rubor tiene un costo de $12. Es una fórmula de polvo prensado que puede usarse no solo como rubor sino también como sombra de ojos y para los labios. Esta es la primera vez que pruebo un producto de cosméticos OFRA y debo decir que estoy impresionada. Este rubor es sumamente suave y con alta pigmentación que me da un poco de miedo usarlo. Es un color rosa brillante que con solo un pequeño toque tienes suficiente producto para aplicarlo en ambas mejillas y dura todo el día.

Este próximo producto es de una marca que nunca había escuchado antes: beauté basics. La sombra de ojos incluida en la bolsa es una fórmula “foiled” en el color Satin Taupe. No pude encontrar esta sombra en su sitio web, pero había otros dos tonos en la misma fórmula. Aparentemente, tienen un costo de $14.99, pero este color no se puede comprar en el sitio web de Ipsy ni en el sitio web de beauté cosmetics. A pesar de esto, debo decir que es un tono metálico pigmentado que se puede usar seco (foto del medio) o húmedo (foto a la derecha).

La brocha de Luxie Beauty es un sombreador (shader) pequeño ideal para empaquetar el producto y funciona con la sombra de ojos incluida en la bolsa. Es una brocha suave y un tanto esponjosa que no soltado ninguna cerda. Tiene un costo de $12 (sitio web de Ipsy), que me parece un poco caro para una brocha pequeña de ojos.

Por último, el delineador de ojos Jontéblu en negro. Tiene un costo de $7 (sitio web de Ipsy) y es una fórmula negra mate que no se transfiere ni escama. No se movió de mis párpados, duró durante las 8-9 horas que tuve maquillaje puesto.

Disfruté de mi primera bolsa Ipsy, aunque normalmente no uso rubor rosado ni uso de delineadores líquidos. Sin embargo, los productos son buenos (no estoy segura de las mascarrillas para la cara) y estoy ansiosa por ver qué viene en la bolsa de julio 🙂

Ipsy is a $10/month subscription with free shipping within the US.  It includes five beauty products that are supposed to match the beauty quiz you take when signing up.  The first bag is billed as soon as you sign up and provide payment information, if you’re not in the waitlist.  The next months, you will be billed on the first of each month (if you choose the monthly plan).  As for the annual subscriptions, they bill you on the first day of the 12-month subscription.  For the annual subscription, you pay $110 and receive a free bag.  The bag is supposed to arrive approximately two weeks after billing.  Both subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancel anytime.  Shipping for Canada is $4.95 and taxes are applied to New York, California, North Carolina, and Texas.

I signed up for the monthly subscription on May 21, was put on waitlist but a few hours later I was taken out of the waitlist and was being billed for my first bag.  On June 11 I an email indicating that my bag had been shipped and received the bag in the mail on June 16.  When I opened the package, the first things I saw were the 3-tone bag and two sheet masks.

These face masks are from the brand the SAEM. I tried the acai berry one and found that it has a strong scent.  The mask felt cooling on my skin with a little irritating/burning sensation on my moustache area.  When I took the face mask off, my face felt a bit hot, it was sticky, and I could still smell the scent for a while.

Inside the bag I found an OFRA cosmetics blush, a beauté basics eyeshadow, a Luxie makeup brush and a Jontéblu eyeliner.

Let’s talk about the blush first.  According to the Ipsy website, the blush retails for $12.  It is a pressed powder formula that can be used not only as a blush but also as an eyeshadow and on the lips.  This is the first time I try an OFRA cosmetics product and I have to say that I’m impress.  This blush is so soft and pigmented that I’m kind of scare to use it.  It’s a bright pink color that needs just a little tap for both cheeks and it lasts all day long.

This next product is from a brand I’ve never heard before: beauté basics.  The eyeshadow included in the bag is a foiled formula in the shade Satin Taupe.  I wasn’t able to find this shade on their website but there were two other shades in the same formula.  So apparently, they retail for $14.99 but this shade cannot be bought on the Ipsy website neither on the beauté cosmetics website.  But I must say that it is a pigmented metallic shade that can be used dry (middle photo) or wet (photo on the right).

The Luxie Beauty Small Shader brush is nice for packing up the product on the lid and works with the foiled eyeshadow included in the bag.  It’s a soft, somewhat fluffy brush that hasn’t shed.  It retails for $12 (Ipsy website), which I find kind of expensive for a small eye brush.

Lastly, the Jontéblu felt tip eyeliner in black.  It retails for $7 (Ipsy website) and it’s a matte-black formula that doesn’t smudge, transfer or flake.  It didn’t move from my eyelids, it lasted through the 8-9 hours I had my makeup on.

I enjoyed my first Ipsy bag, even though I don’t usually wear pink blush nor use liquid liners.  Nevertheless, the products were good (not sure about the face sheet masks) and I’m anxious to see what’s next in the July bag 🙂
