Hello, I hope you’re doing good. Today I want to talk to you about one of my go to foundation for when I have a long day ahead of me and want full coverage. No, it’s not a highend priced foundation! It’s actually a drugstore foundation from L’oreal, is the Infallible Pro-Matte foundation. This foundation says to have a demi-matte finish and to last up to 24 hours. Also says is for normal to oily skin and it’s an oil-free formula. According to the L’oreal website, the foundation is a lightweight and creamy formula that “hides imperfections for a smooth, clear complexion”. It retails for $12.99 (depending where you buy it from) and has 22 shades.
I’ve been using this foundation since it was launched. I found it to be a creamy somewhat thick formula that goes from medium to full coverage (depending on the application method and layers applied). Too many layers can lead to a cakey look (learned this the hard way). My preferred way to apply this foundation is using a damp beauty sponge (I use the pink/purpley one from L’oreal). Also, a little goes a long way with this foundation. A few days ago I decided to do a wear test to see if it could stand the Puerto Rico hot/humid weather combined with some moving day action and my extremely oily skin.
The first photo (far left) is me without any makeup on, the next one is with the finished makeup. I used the Colourpop no filter concealer (click here for thoughts on collection) and set everything with it Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores pressed powder. For my brows I used Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 brow (for my thoughts on this product click here). Next we have how my makeup was looking at 2pm after being on my face for 8 hours.

As you can see in the last two photos, the foundation looks quite good but when I took a closer look at my skin, the story was different. I had indentations on my nose from my eyeglasses (happens with every foundation) for which I didn’t care much. But the foundation had also started to accumulate around my nose and to break apart on my chin and cheek area. Needless to say, it was looking rough, but we must take into account that I was running around like crazy doing errands and carrying things from a third floor to the car. And the temperature was in the 90ºF but the humidity made it feel almost like in the 100º.
When I’m not running around like crazy, this foundation lasts me all day and I start to get a little shiny in my t-zone at night. I’ve wore this foundation to special events, to a night out and in my everyday life. Is a really nice foundation and I highly recommend it, not sure that dry skin people will enjoy it because it’s matte.
Well that’s all from me today, hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful. Have a great day, and don’t forget to comment what other things you would like to see.
