Maybelline total temptation brow definer vs L’oreal brow stylist definer

First, I must say that I have really sparse eyebrows, mostly because of over-plucking when younger) *sad face*.  So when looking for brow products, my aim is to find a product that makes it easy to basically create my eyebrows without them looking like I draw them with Sharpie *LOL*.  As you would know from the title, today I’m going to compare two similar brow pencils.  Take into account that this review is based on my preferences and the kind of brows I have.

Eyebrows without any product

Maybelline total temptation brow definer states that the teardrop tip would give you a soft defined eyebrow.  The cost of this product is around $6 to $8, depending where you buy it.  I’ve been using this product for a few months now.  Product grabs best on hair than on skin. Each time I fill in my eyebrows I notice 1 or 2 brow hairs on the tip of the pencil.

Eyebrows filled in with Maybelline total temptation brow definer in 310 medium brown.

As for the L’oreal Brow Stylist Definer has an ultra-fine tip and the blending brush is longer and thinner than the Maybelline one.  It costs around $8 to $9.  This L’oreal product is supposed to help create hair-like strokes, packaging states that it’s a waterproof formula.  I used it for the first time today, and I must say that I really like it.  Is a pigmented product, easy to blend in and it grabs to my skin so it’s easier to manage (for the few hairs I have).  Also, the pigmentation deposited on skin depends on the pressure you apply.

Eyebrows filled in with L’oreal in 389 brunette.

To conclude, both products are great and they give well-defined natural brows.  But if you have eyebrows like me, with sparse areas, I recommend the L’oreal Brow Stylist Definer.  For people that have the luck to have fuller brows, the Maybelline total temptation brow definer is excellent for you.

As always, I hope you enjoyed this post and don’t forget to comment below what you think of the products reviewed and what you would like me to review next.  Read you later *wink wink*.

Covergirl clean matte bb cream-First impression

As you all should know, bb creams provide light coverage because it’s main purpose is to even out skin tone. The bb cream I’m going to be reviewing today, says to provide enough coverage to even skin tone, hide blemishes and keep the shine away.  Is oil-free, suitable for sensitive skin, lasts all day and won’t clog pores.  Retails around $7 to $8, depending where you buy it. First, let’s consider that I have extremely oily skin and I live in Puerto Rico. Which means I’m in a tropical weather where it can be without a single cloud in the sky and in the next 30 minutes it looks like a hurricane.

After all this is said, I was curious to see if it really works for my oily skin. I bought it in the shade 520 light, which I’m thinking is a little light for me *oops*.  It has light coverage but covers my redness really nicely.  Also, it has a faint scent but it fades when you apply it, I don’t notice any scent.

7am: Freshly applied, nothing else on.

8am: All makeup done.

Around the 2 hours mark after I applied it, the bb cream had rubbed off my nose because of my eyeglasses. Which is normal with every bb cream, cc cream or foundation.

1pm check-in: Shiny forehead but not extremely oily as I tend to get.

Like 2 to 3 hours after the last check-in, my t-zone was extremely oily.  And by 11pm, the bb cream was starting to break up in my cheek area.   Overall, this product stayed on well enough (it lasted through the tropical weather of Puerto Rico and my oily face).

I used it again today (the first impression test was yesterday) and I have to say that I’m satisfied with the results and staying power of this bb cream.  Covergirl, I’m excited to see what else is in the making.  Meanwhile, I’m going to try to get my hands on that new matte foundation (whenever it gets to Puerto Rico *sigh*).

As always, thanks for reading and I hope you either enjoyed this post or found it helpful.  If it was both, then that would be amazing.  Don’t forget to tell me your opinion/thoughts and what you would like me to review next.

Read you later *wink wink*.

Is Maybelline’s total temptation Mascara good?

Para leer esta reseña en Español, favor hacer click aquí: ¿La máscara total temptation de Maybelline es buena?

First, let’s talk about what the claims are for this mascara.  The total temptation Mascara by Maybelline was launched early this year (2018) in waterproof and non-waterproof formula.  I’m going to be reviewing the waterproof formula, in the Maybelline website is stated that:

Total Temptation™ Waterproof Mascara builds lashes for full and soft volume.  Give in to Total Lash Temptation.  Build on bold volume to create irresistibly soft, separated, and dense lashes coat after coat.  Features a creamy and whipped formula infused with coconut extract.

I’ve been using this mascara since it launched, and I must say I’m impressed.  It has become my holy grail mascara because it doesn’t flake or smudge during the day.  Also, it helps with my sad little short lashes, it gives them enough volume, so everyone can see I do have lashes.

One eye w mascara-One eye wtht mascara
Eye on the left with mascara, eye on the right without mascara.  Applied at 10:02am, lasted all day until I removed my makeup at 11pm.

As you can see in the photo, normally I look like I have no lashes but with this mascara…I have lashes! *fireworks*  I recommend the Maybelline total temptation mascara to everyone and their mother.  As I said before it has become my holy grail mascara, replacing the one I used before.

As always, I hope you enjoyed reading and can take something out of my blog.  Feel free to comment or request reviews in the comment section.
