Hola y bienvenidos a otra reseña de Ipsy.  Es una suscripción mensual de $10 que incluye 5 productos tamaño muestra (maquillaje, cuidado de piel y cabello) en una bolsita para maquillaje.  Cada mes tiene un tema diferente, para el mes de Septiembre el tema era “La pregunta no es quién me lo va a permitir, si no quién me va a detener”.  La bolsa para maquillaje está hecha de una tela negra con detalles metálicos.

El primer producto fue un tubo de mascarilla para el cabello por la marca Jo Hansford.  Dice que está hecha para el cabello tratado con tinte, tiene una fórmula anti descoloración que nutrirá, mejorará y acondicionará cabello seco, dañado o sobre procesado.  Hablemos primero del tamaño empaque versus la cantidad de producto porque es algo que me molesta.  El tubo es relativamente grande para 1.01 fl oz de producto.  Ya que cuando lo miras contra la luz, puedes notar que el producto no llega ni a mitad de tubo.  Por lo que no entiendo la necesidad de utilizar un empaque tan grande para la pequeña cantidad de producto.  Bueno, ahora hablemos del desempeño de la mascarilla.  La misma no ha sido impresionante, pero eso puede deberse a que se necesite más tiempo para notar si hay alguna diferencia.  Lo único que puedo decirles es que cada vez que la utilizo mi cabello se siente suave y tiene menos nudos.

El próximo producto es el Photo Finish Primerizer de Smashbox.  Me ha gustado bastante este producto porque mantiene mi maquillaje en su sitio.  En términos de desempeño, en mi caso, puedo compararlo con el All Star Primer de Colourpop.  Pero la consistencia no es la misma, ya que el cebador (primer) de Smashbox es más líquido que el de Colourpop.

También obtuve el Exfoliador “Microdermabrasion Age Defying” de Dr. Brandt.  Dice que es apto para todo tipo de piel, entiendo que es cierto ya que no considero que sea demasiado fuerte con la piel.  Lo he utilizado varias veces y puedo decirle que deja mi piel suave pero que no he aún notado cambios en mi piel.

El siguiente producto, es un mini Lip Glaze de la marca tréStique en el tono English Rose el cual me gusta mucho.  Este producto es un lindo tono de rojo con un acabado luminoso cuya duración es promedio como la de un lápiz labial.

El último producto incluido en mi bolsa de Septiembre fue el Around-The-World light infusion poder de Nomad Cosmetics.  Es un tono entre rosado y color durazno (melocotón) llamado Positano Sunrise.  Lo he utilizado de tres manera diferentes: como sombra para ojos, como rubor (solo o acompañado), y como highlighter.  Me encanta como luce cuando lo utilizo como sombra para ojos y como highlighter.  En el caso de rubor o sobre otro rubor, no es mi favorito porque no me encantan los rubores en tonos rosados o muy brillosos.

Hello and welcome to another late Ipsy review.  Ipsy is a $10 monthly subscription that comes with 5 sample size products (makeup, skin & hair care) in a makeup bag.  Each month has a different theme, for September’s bag the them was “The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me”.  And the makeup bag is made of a black fabric with metallic detailing.

The first product was a tube of hair mask by the brand Jo Hansford.  It says is made for color treated hair with an anti-fade formula that will nourish, enhance and condition dry, damaged or over processed hair.  Let’s talk about the packaging size and amount of product ratio because it really bothers me.  You have this bulky tube that says is 1.01fl oz of product.  But when you look at the tube against the light you can see that is not even halfway full.  So why do we need this size of a tube for such a small quantity of product.  Now, the product’s performance is not bad.  I’ve used it a few times, after each use my hair feels softer and with less knots.  But it’s too early to notice any change on the hair appearance.

The next product was the Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer.  I’ve been really liking this primer, it keeps my makeup in place for quite some time.  In terms of performance, I think it compares with my Colourpop All Star Primer.  But the consistency of the Smashbox primer is more liquid-like than the Colourpop primer.

Also got the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator.  It says its suitable for all skin types, I don’t consider it to be harsh on the skin.  Have used it a few times, it leaves my skin feeling soft but I haven’t seen any changes on my skin.

Next, I got a mini Lip Glaze from tréStique in English Rose.  I really like this lip product, it’s a pretty red shade with a nice sheen.  I would say that its duration is average, like a lipstick.

Last but not least, the September’s bag included the Around-The-World light infusion powder from Nomad Cosmetics.  The shade is a peachy-pink named Positano Sunrise.  I’ve used it 3 ways:  as a highlighter, a blush/blush topper, and as eyeshadow.  I like how it looks when applied as eyeshadow and love it as highlighter.  But as a blush or blush toppers, is not my favorite because I don’t like pink blushes nor my cheeks to shine that much.
