First Impression-Colourpop x Frozen II

Hi guys! Hope you’re good and healthy. Today I’m doing a first impression on the Colourpop x Frozen II eyeshadow palettes. As a bonus, I tried the No7 Lash Extender Infinite Lash Length and Volume mascara. // ¡Hola! Espero que estén bien y saludables. These limited edition eyeshadow palettes retail for $15, they include 9 shades and a mirror. Elsa’s palette is cool-toned while Anna’s palette warm-toned. As every Colourpop eyeshadow palette I’ve tried, these have amazing pigmentation and blend really well. // Estas paletas de sombras de edición limitada cuestan $15, incluyen 9 tonos y un espejo. La paleta de Elsa es de tonos fríos mientras que la paleta de Anna es de tonos cálidos. Como todas las paletas de sombras que he probado de Colourpop, estas difuminan muy bien y tienen una pigmentación increíble.

Now, the No7 mascara impressed me. I’ve seen the retail price fluctuate from $8.99 to $14.99. One coat gives length, volume and pigment to my lashes. When I added the second coat, it looked really good. A third coat clumped my lashes a bit, but I’m not mad at it. It stayed all day and was easy to remove. // Ahora, el rímel de No7 me impresionó. He visto el precio fluctuar de $8.99 a $14.99. Una capa da volumen, pigmentación y alarga mis pestañas. Cuando añadí la segunda capa, se veían muy bien. Una tercera capa agrupó mis pestañas un poco, pero no me molesta. Se mantuvo en mis pestañas todo el día y fue fácil de remover.

Today I’m going to share with you a list of the makeup products that I will eventually buy. These products are ones that I really, really want. Most of them are drugstore priced. // Hoy voy a compartir con ustedes la lista de los productos que compraré eventualmente. Estos son productos que realmente quiero. La mayoría son asequibles (económicos).

First brand on my list is Colourpop. I love all products eye and lip related. Which means I want mostly eyeshadow palettes and one lip product. The palettes are: Going Coconuts, Blowin’ Smoke, She’s My Solstice (Ulta exclusive), Mulan, and Making Mauves. As for the lip product, I want to try the Just A Tint formula in the Coconuts About You kit. Also, an eyeshadow palette from Flower Beauty called Jungle Lights (I’ve seen good reviews about it). // La primera marca en mi lista es Colourpop. Me encantan todos los productos para ojos y labios. Lo que significa que la mayoría se compone de paletas de sombras y un producto para los ojos. Las paletas son: Going Coconuts, Blowin’ Smoke, She’s My Solstice (exclusiva de Ulta), Mulan, y Making Mauves. En cuanto al producto para los labios, quiero probar la formula Just A Tint en el kit Coconuts About You. Next, there are some new Bite Size Eyeshadow Palettes from e.l.f. Cosmetics that look beautiful. I’ve seen a few reviews that talk wonders about them. Basically, I want them all, there are eight palettes with four colors each, for only $3 each. // Lo próximo son las nuevas paletas de sombras Bite Size de e.l.f. Cosmetics. He visto varias reseñas donde hablan maravillas sobre estas paletas. Básicamente las quiero todas, son ocho paletas con cuatro colores cada una, por tan solo $3 cada una.

Açai, Rose Water, Cream & Sugar, Berry Bad, Pumpkin Pie, Hot Jalapeño, Truffles, and Carnival Candy.

In this list there’s also more pricier products, such as: Huda Beauty’s Nude Obsessions eyeshadow palette (in Nude Medium) and the Neon Obsessions eyeshadow palette in Neon Green (Sephora exclusive). As part of this category, there’s the Soft Glam eyeshadow palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. As well as the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip from Fenty Beauty by Rihanna in Clear and Hot Chocolit. // En esta lista también hay productos más caros como: las paletas de sombras Nude Obsessions (en Nude Medium) y la Neon Obsessions en Neon Green (exclusiva de Sephora). 7 Looks, 1 Palette-Colourpop It’s My Pleasure

I’m back with this series where I show you seven eyeshadow looks with just one palette. This time I’ll be using the It’s My Pleasure palette from Colourpop. Which is part of their monochromatic palette range.

Look #1: Kittenfish (crease/lower lash-line), Chick Lit (outer corner/lower lash-line), Bare Minimum (lid), and Earthshine (inner corner).
Look #2: Pretty Cruel (crease/lower lash-line), Sleeper (outer corner/lower lash-line), Mr. Sandman (lid), and Earthshine (inner corner).
Look #3: Pretty Cruel (crease/lower lash-line), Chick Lit (outer corner/lower lash-line), Do or Dough (lid), and Earthshine (inner corner).
Look #4: Fan Fiction (crease/lower lash-line), Sleeper (outer corner/lower lash-line), Pretty Cruel (lid), and Do or Dough (inner corner).
Look #5: Fan Fiction (crease/lower lash-line), Chick Lit (outer corner/lower lash-line), Earthshine (lid), and Do or Dough (inner corner).

The shades are beautiful and pigmented. If you combine it with a neutral palette, the looks will be more different between each other. I love this palette, but not for everyday use. Unless purple eyeshadow doesn’t clash with your outfit.

Will I Buy?-New Launches

During these days of being at home trying to be productive and not go crazy, I’ve been paying more attention to new makeup collections. As I was scrolling and taking screenshots of everything I was liked (on first impression), I remembered it’s been a while since I’ve done a “Will I Buy?”. So here I am, sharing with you I would love to buy.

I must tell you that I’m a sucker for eyeshadow palettes and lip products. So don’t be surprised when you see, that what I love from all the collections are the lipsticks, glosses or eyeshadow palettes. You’ve been warned!

First, the Colourpop x Mulan Collection looks so good. I know it’s been out for a while now, but I love Colourpop’s quality so much. I would buy: the eyeshadow palette (contains 15 shades and retails for $22), Lux Creme Lipstick in Hua Mulan (retails for $9), Lux Gloss in Phoenix (retails for $9), and a blush in ________ retails for $12).

Another collaboration I fell in love with is the one between Ulta Beauty and Marvel’s Black Widow. The eyeshadow palette has 12 shades and retails for $20. As for the lip kit duos, I haven’t decided which shade I like more. But it includes a lip liner and a creamy lipstick (retails for $16). I only own a few eyeliner pencils from Ulta Beauty so I can’t talk about the quality of these products. But they sure do look nice.

I’ve never heard of the brand Zodiac Cosmetics until I saw some new Zodiac Eyeshadow Palettes on trendmood’s Instagram. Each palette retails for $14.99 and contains 12 shades. Sadly, there are a few shades that repeat in every palette and they end up looking quite similar to each other. If I was going to buy one, it will either be Capricorn, Pisces or Taurus.

Then, we have Revolution Pro (from Makeup Revolution) with some jewel-related eyeshadow quads. They retail for $15, which I find a bit expensive for only four shades. But I liked So Jaded, Hidden Jewels and Wild Onyx.

Lime Crime launched the Lip Pops Satin Lipsticks for a retail price of $20 each, which I find expensive for a single lipstick. Don’t know if they’re worth the price because I’ve never tried this brand. But if you like this brand, you can get them in a bundle for $126. The shades I liked more are: Cold Brew (cool taupe brown), Sangria (cool toned red), and Oxblood (deep oxblood red).

These are the more affordable (in my opinion) makeup launches that I would like to buy. From all the products mentioned above, I’m more inclined to buy from the Colourpop x Mulan Collection and Ulta Beauty x Marvel’s Black Widow Collection.

¿Compraré o no?-Nuevos lanzamientos

Durante estos días en casa he tratado de ser lo más productiva posible y no volverme loca. He pasado más tiempo en Instagram, por lo que prestado más atención a las nuevas colecciones de maquillaje. He tomado captura de pantalla (screenshot) de todo lo que me ha interesado y decidí que era tiempo de retomar la serie ¿Compraré o no?

ACLARACIÓN: Toda la información al igual que las fotos fueron tomadas de la cuenta trendmood en Instagram.

Tengo que decirles que me encantan las paletas de sombras y todos los productos labiales. Por lo que no deberían sorprenderse cuando vean que todo lo que quiero de las colecciones son labiales o paletas de sombras. ¡Han sido advertidos!

La primera colección es de Colourpop en colaboración con Mulan y se ve increíble. Salió a la venta hace algún tiempo pero adoro la calidad de los productos Colourpop. Quisiera comprar: la paleta de sombras (contiene 15 tonos y cuesta $22), Lux Creme Lipstick en Hua Mulan ($9), Lux Gloss en Phoenix ($9), y un rubor en ______ ($12).

Otra colaboración que me encantó es entre Ulta Beauty y la Viuda Negra (Black Widow) de Marvel. La aleta de sombras tiene 12 tonos, por tan solo $20. Aún no he decidido cuál “lip kit duo” me gusta más. Estos incluyen un delineador de labios y un lápiz labial cremoso por solo $16. No puedo hablar sobre la calidad de estos tipos de productos de Ulta Beauty porque lo único que tengo son delineadores de ojos. Pero se ven muy bien.

Nunca había escuchado sobre la marca Zodiac Cosmetics hasta que vi unas paletas de sombras del Zodíaco nuevas en el Instagram de trendmood. Cada paleta cuesta $14.99 y contiene 12 tonos. Lamentablemente, hay varios colores que se repiten en cada paleta, lo que hace que se vean similares. Si fuera a comprar alguna sería Capricorn, Pisces or Taurus.

Luego tenemos a Revolution Pro (de Makeup Revolution) con unos quad de sombras relacionados con piedras preciosas. Los encuentro algo caros, ya que son $15 por solo cuatro colores. Pero me gustaron So Jaded, Hidden Jewels y Wild Onyx.

Lime Crime lanzó los Lip Pops Satin Lipsticks a $20 cada uno, lo que me parece algo caro por un solo labial. No sé si son suficientemente buenos como para justificar ese precio. Pero si les gusta esta marca pueden obtener todos los labiales en un set por $126. Los colores que me gustan son: Cold Brew (cool taupe brown), Sangria (cool toned red), y Oxblood (deep oxblood red).

Estos son los lanzamientos de maquillaje más económicos/asequibles (en mi opinión) que me gustaría comprar. De todos los productos mencionados anteriormente, me inclino más a comprar de las colecciones de Colourpop x Mulan y Ulta Beauty x Marvel’s Black Widow.

Mascara Recap-Will I Repurchase?

The topic for today: mascara. I’ve tried them, they’re gone, now we need to talk about them. Were they good? Will I repurchase? Which one did I like more? If you want to Know the answers to these questions, just keep reading.

The first is the Colourpop BFF Mascara. I got it when it first came out and got 3 colors (black, blue and purple). They were my go-to mascaras because the pigmentation was amazing. It didn’t smudge or transfer. But when the formula became dryer, it started to flake and smudge during the day. Haven’t repurchase because I always have many mascaras on rotation and many more waiting to try.

Next, L’oreal Lash Paradise. It’s pigmented, gives good length & volume, and doesn’t smudge or transfer. But gets clumpy with too many coats. Both formulas, waterproof and non-waterproof, perform the same. The only difference is the taking process. The waterproof formula is harder to take off, which is why I prefer the non-waterproof one. Have repurchased many times (have like 2 backups).

Covergirl Lash Blast Active is pigmented and gives lashes a more natural and separated look. Can be built-up without getting clumpy and it doesn’t tend to smudge or transfer. Good for everyday, minimal makeup look. Haven’t repurchased it and I’m not sure if I will.

I have tried 2 Rimmel mascaras: Scandaleyes Retro Glam and Scandaleyes Wow Wings. Both are extremely black and give lot of volume. The formula is super wet, which means it takes quite some time to dry. Haven’t repurchase because I’m not fan of wet formulas.

Lastly, Maybelline Snapscara (non-waterproof) is a pigmented, clump-free, volume giver mascara. It has a not-to-dry, not-to-wet formula. Haven’t repurchase yet but will when I finish a few mascaras.

Overall, my favorite mascaras are:

  • L’oreal Lash Paradise (non-waterproof)
  • Maybelline Snapscara (non-waterproof)
  • Colourpop BFF Mascara

Resumen de rímel-¿Compraría de nuevo?

El tema para hoy es rímel. Los he probado, ya no están, ahora necesitamos hablar sobre ellos. ¿Son buenos? ¿Los compraría de nuevo? ¿Cuál me gustó más? Si quieren saber las respuestas a estas preguntas, solo sigan leyendo.

El primero es Colourpop BFF Mascara. Compré este rímel la primera vez que salió en 3 colores (negro, azul, y violeta). Era el rímel que utilizaba todo el tiempo porque la pigmentación era increíble. No se transfiere ni mancha. Pero cuando la fórmula comenzó a secarse, se deshacía durante el día. No lo he vuelto a comprar porque siempre tengo varios rímeles en rotación y otros más para probar.

El próximo es L’oreal Lash Paradise. Tiene buena pigmentación, da un buen volumen y alarga las pestañas, y no se transfiere ni mancha. Pero se puede crear grumos si se aplican demasiadas capas. Ambas fórmulas, regular y a prueba de agua, actúan de la misma manera. La única diferencia es en el proceso de remoción. La fórmula a prueba de agua es más difícil de remover, por lo que prefiere la otra fórmula. Lo he comprado varias veces (tengo como 2 de repuesta).

Covergirl Lash Blast Active tiene buena pigmentación, separa las pestañas y da un look más natural. Se pueden aplicar varias capas sin que forme grumos y no tiende a transferirse ni manchar. Es un buen rímel para uso diario o en looks de poco maquillaje. No lo he comprado y no estoy segura si lo haré.

He probado 2 de Rimmel: Scandaleyes Retro Glam y Scandaleyes Wow Wings. Ambos son extremadamente negeos y dan mucho volumen a las pestañas. La fórmula es súper húmeda, lo que implica mayor tiempo de secado. No he vuelto ha comprar porque no soy amante de las fórmulas húmedas.

Por último, Maybelline Snapscara es un rímel con buena pigmentación, libre de grumos que da buen volumen. Tiene una fórmula no muy húmeda, no muy seca. No he vuelto a comprar pero lo haré cuando termine algunos de los que tengo en rotación.

En resumen, mis rímeles favoritos son:

  • L’oreal Lash Paradise
  • Maybelline Snapscara
  • Colourpop BFF Mascara

Current Makeup Favorites-January 2020

Hi guys! Hope the holidays treated you well. I’m not going to tell excuses of why I was gone. I just needed some time to think and to find the motivation to continue writing. Now that I’m back, let’s talk about some makeup and don’t forget to follow me on all social media.

Let’s start this 2020 with my current makeup favorites (as the title says). These are products that I discovered or rediscovered in 2019. For most of the makeup categories, I have two or more products. The foundations I’ve been using lately are L’oreal Infallible Fresh Wear and Covergirl TruBlend Matte Made. The L’oreal foundation has a more “natural” finish, but the Covergirl is more matte. Both work quite nice with my oily skin and Puerto Rico’s tropical weather.

Rediscovered my love for Maybelline Fit Me concealer, for days where I don’t want too much makeup as it’s a lightweight formula. But when I need to cover my dark circles, I use the TruBlend Undercover concealer from Covergirl. It’s a somewhat thicker formula and you only need a tiny amount. To set my face, I’ve gone back to my trusty Stay Matte powder from Rimmel. I put all my bronzers in a drawer for the late half of 2019, because I discovered the Milani Silky Matte bronzer. The last face category is highlight and for this I have a few, three to be exact. An IBY BEAUTY Radiant Glow highlighter sample in 24k magic (received in a Ipsy bag), the megaglo highlighting bar from Wet ‘n Wild in 684 Earth, and Covergirl TruBlend Super Stunner Hyper-Glow in Pearl Crush.

For my brows, I’ve been using the Ultrafine Brow Pencil from Covergirl. Basically, every eyeshadow palette I’ve used in the past months are from Colourpop. My mascara combo is formed by Maybelline Snapscara and Covergirl Exhibitionist, they make my lashes look amazing. Don’t get me wrong, each mascara works wonders individually but since the Snapscara has dried a but, I find its better when used with another mascara. Still loving the lip liners from Jordana, they’re so soft and pigmented. Fallen in love with two lip products from NYX, the Butter Gloss which I’m starting to think that has been discontinued because I can’t seem to find it anywhere. The other one is the Lingerie Push-Up long-lasting lipstick, which is a pigmented matte formula. Lastly for lips, the L’oreal Rouge Signature liquid lipstick has a lightweight-matte formula with incredible pigmentation.

Those are the current products I’m using, let’s hope for a year full of more amazing products. Any recommendations? Let me know in the comment section 😉

¿Compraría de nuevo?

¡Hola! Hablemos de esos productos que utilizamos completamente, nos gusten o no. Los míos incluyen maquillaje, productos para la piel y materiales de bisutería. Les diré lo que me gusta y lo que no, además si los he comprado nuevamente o no. Aquí vamos.

Comenzando con los productos para la piel, el primero es humectante. Utilicé el humectante Hydra Genius para piel grasa de L’oreal. Me gustó este producto porque ayuda con la hidratación de la piel pero no se siente pesado ni grasoso. La fórmula es en gel, la cual prefiero para mi piel grasa, ya que se absorbe rápidamente dejando mi cara sintiéndose fresca.

Otro producto es la crema que utilizo para quitarme el maquillaje antes de lavarme la cara. Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser, lo aplico con mis manos y lo remuevo con un algodón. Luego utilizo un jabón para remover el maquillaje que queda y la sensación grasosa que deja. Llevo varios años usándolo porque remueve prácticamente todo.

Ahora, tengo la categoría con la mayor cantidad de productos: MAQUILLAJE. Un producto que compro una y otra vez, es la base Infallible Pro-Matte de L’oreal. Con eso deben saber lo mucho que me gusta, pero si quieren saber por qué, sólo presionen aquí para leer la entrada que escribí hace algunos meses. Tengo dos correctores (concealer) de los que quiero hablarles, ambos son económicos y con gran cobertura. El primero es Colourpop No Filter Concealer, pueden leer mi opinión presionando aquí. El otro es Clean Matte Concealer de Covergirl, tiene menos cobertura que el de Colourpop pero es bueno. He comprado varias veces el corrector de Colourpop, aunque no el de Covergirl.

Tengo dos productos de Maybelline, un rubor de la línea Fit Me! en el color Buff y el polvo suelto Master Fix Loose Setting Powder en translúcido. Estos productos han sido mis favoritos por varios meses. El rubor es un color crema-rosado que me parece perfecto para principiantes porque no aplica mucho color de una vez y combina con todo.

Otro polvo suelto que me gusta es el Infallible Pro-Sweep & Lock en translúcido. Al igual que el polvo de Maybelline, se ve bien sobre el maquillaje. El último producto de maquillaje es el Brow Stylist Plumper Mascara de L’oreal. No recuerdo cuándo comencé a utilizar este producto, pero llevo varios años usándolo y me encanta.

Ahora, mi hilo y “seed beads” (cuentas 11/0 y 15/0) favoritos son de Artbeads. Como siempre, trato de comprar estos materiales cuando hay alguna venta o necesito colores nuevos.

Esos son todos los productos que me han gustado lo suficiente comp ara volverlos a comprar. ¿Cuáles son los tuyos?

Repurchase or Not??

Hi guys! Let’s talk about those products we use up, whether we like them or not. Mine include makeup, skin related and beading materials. I’ll tell you what I like of them, what I don’t and if I had purchased them again or not. Let’s begin.

Starting with skin related products, the first one is my moisturizer. I used up the L’oreal Hydra Genius Moisturizer for oily skin, I enjoyed this product because it help with hydration but wasn’t oily/greasy feeling. It’s a gel formula, which I prefer for my oily skin, that absorbs quickly and leaves my face feeling fresh. I didn’t repurchase this product because I noticed some dry skin on my face, so I decided to try another moisturizer.

Another product was the cleanser I use to take off my makeup before washing my face. The Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser (with the green cap), I massage it all over my face and take it off with a cotton round. After that I go in with a cleanser to finish taking off the makeup and the greasy feeling the Pond’s cleanser leaves. Always repurchase this one, I love how easy it takes the makeup off even when I have to wash my face afterwards.

Next, we have the category with more products: MAKEUP. A product I buy over and over again is the Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation from L’oreal. That must say how much I love it, but if you want to know more about it just click here to read the post I wrote. I have two concealers to talk about, both affordable and with great coverage. The first one is the Colourpop No Filter Concealer for which you can read what I think of it by clicking here. The other one is the Clean Matte Concealer from Covergirl, it has a little less coverage than the Colourpop one but is good. I’ve repurchased the Colourpop concealer a few times already, but not the Covegirl one.

I have two products from Maybelline, Fit Me! Blush in Buff and Master Fix Loose Setting Powder in Translucent. These products have been favorites for quite some time now, and they never dissapoint. The blush is a pinky-nude that needs to be build up and goes with every look you want to rock. The loose powder sets my makeup nicely without making me look cakey.

Another loose setting powder I enjoyed using was the L’oreal Infallibe Pro-Sweep & Lock in translucent. Same as the Maybelline one, it sets the makeup nicely. The last makeup product is also from L’oreal, but this time is the Brow Stylist Plumper Mascara. I don’t even remember when I started using this product, all I know is that I love setting my brows in place with this after filling them up.

Now, my favorite beading thread and seed beads (size 11/0 & 15/0) are from Artbeads. As always, I try to buy when there’s a sale to stock up on materials I’m need or new colors.
