Keeping Myself Busy pt. 2

Hi guys! Hope you’re doing good and staying safe. Don’t forget to follow me on social media:

For Friday’s makeup I use an eyeshadow palette from a tarte gift set I received this past Christmas. I haven’t wear a red lip in a while, so I decided to use a L’oreal Infallible Pro-Matte liquid lipstick in Matador. The rest of the day, I lost myself in Instagram seeing new makeup launches and creating a wish list (what else is new). Also, watched some movies with my sister.

I didn’t used makeup during the weekend and dedicated to start a new puzzle (2000 pieces). Also gave my dog a new plush toy, which only lasted 24 hours *sheds a tear*. Monday was another no makeup-day that basically consisted of me beading and trying to do some progress on the puzzle (which seems kind of impossible right now).

Tuesday was beading day for me. Today I didn’t work out but I put makeup on, and started working on some beaded bits for new jewelry I want to make. For my makeup I used some single shadows from Maybelline and Colourpop. Later, I tried a new project from a pattern I bought from an Etsy shop (ChikaBeadwork). The doily/coaster didn’t turned out perfect, but it wasn’t bad for being my first time. Started at noon, finished at 8pm and my back, neck, wrists hurt like crazy.

Repurchase or Not??

Hi guys! Let’s talk about those products we use up, whether we like them or not. Mine include makeup, skin related and beading materials. I’ll tell you what I like of them, what I don’t and if I had purchased them again or not. Let’s begin.

Starting with skin related products, the first one is my moisturizer. I used up the L’oreal Hydra Genius Moisturizer for oily skin, I enjoyed this product because it help with hydration but wasn’t oily/greasy feeling. It’s a gel formula, which I prefer for my oily skin, that absorbs quickly and leaves my face feeling fresh. I didn’t repurchase this product because I noticed some dry skin on my face, so I decided to try another moisturizer.

Another product was the cleanser I use to take off my makeup before washing my face. The Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser (with the green cap), I massage it all over my face and take it off with a cotton round. After that I go in with a cleanser to finish taking off the makeup and the greasy feeling the Pond’s cleanser leaves. Always repurchase this one, I love how easy it takes the makeup off even when I have to wash my face afterwards.

Next, we have the category with more products: MAKEUP. A product I buy over and over again is the Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation from L’oreal. That must say how much I love it, but if you want to know more about it just click here to read the post I wrote. I have two concealers to talk about, both affordable and with great coverage. The first one is the Colourpop No Filter Concealer for which you can read what I think of it by clicking here. The other one is the Clean Matte Concealer from Covergirl, it has a little less coverage than the Colourpop one but is good. I’ve repurchased the Colourpop concealer a few times already, but not the Covegirl one.

I have two products from Maybelline, Fit Me! Blush in Buff and Master Fix Loose Setting Powder in Translucent. These products have been favorites for quite some time now, and they never dissapoint. The blush is a pinky-nude that needs to be build up and goes with every look you want to rock. The loose powder sets my makeup nicely without making me look cakey.

Another loose setting powder I enjoyed using was the L’oreal Infallibe Pro-Sweep & Lock in translucent. Same as the Maybelline one, it sets the makeup nicely. The last makeup product is also from L’oreal, but this time is the Brow Stylist Plumper Mascara. I don’t even remember when I started using this product, all I know is that I love setting my brows in place with this after filling them up.

Now, my favorite beading thread and seed beads (size 11/0 & 15/0) are from Artbeads. As always, I try to buy when there’s a sale to stock up on materials I’m need or new colors.

Those are all the products that I’ve loved enough to keep buying them. Let me know about yours.

New Handmade Jewelry!

Hi guys! I started this blog with the purpose of sharing my love for makeup but also handmade jewelry. Today, I want to share with you my new collection, which is small but made with love, nonetheless.

I’ve been playing with beads since I was a little girl. Started the idea of turning this love for beading into a business about three years ago. Haven’t had much success, which gets me very frustrated lately. But, I’m not willing to let this dream go, so here goes nothing.

I decided to use some patterns I own and make a few pieces of jewelry. This time I used the “Zip It Up” pattern by Fusion Beads for the bracelets, and the “Tara” pattern from AdivaJewels on Etsy for the earrings. I used TOHO seed beads (11/0 and 15/0), fire-polished beads, SuperDuos, round pearls, and WildFire 6lb thread to make every piece.

Earrings and bracelets retail for $20 each, but you can get them as a set for only $30. Other color combinations are available.

Hope you enjoy today’s post, even though is not makeup related.

What would you like me to talk about next?
